This is a short 10-minute guided practice to help you explore and experience Ujjayi breathing , sometimes called ‘ocean breath’ or ‘victorious breath.’
Ujjayi is a foundational breath in yoga that invites calm, focus, and presence. On a physiological level it helps to strengthen the diaphragm, tone the vagus nerve and to bring about regulation in the nervous system to better manage stress. It allows us to draw inward, away from the external and use the sound as an anchor for meditation and mindfulness practices.
