  • Deep Rest - Gentle Breathwork & Yoga Nidra

    Yoga Nidra is the union of relaxation, awareness, and self-discovery. It offers a profound opportunity for individuals to connect with their true essence, cultivate inner peace, and awaken to the limitless potential of their consciousness.

    The session includes some gentle breathwork and movement to help down-regulate the nervous system, followed by a fully guided Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep) - where we explore the brain waves and find the point of deep rest in the space between being fully awake and fully asleep.

    In-person class at Wise Moves Yoga Studio, Falcon.

    Second Friday of every month.

  • Breath & Mantra - Stillness in Sound

    We all have a unique rhythm and resonance, which is influenced by what is happening in and around us. Our bodies, hearts and minds have sound patterns and when we tune ourselves to positive vibrations and frequencies, this can have a profound effect on the way we show up in this life.

    Stillness in Sound combines the power of the breath (pranayama) and sound through the exploration of sacred mantra, allowing an opening of voices and hearts.

    Gain insight into the profound practice of mantra and chanting to still the mind and open us up to true connection within and around us.

    Session overview:

    - an introduction to breath and sound mantra

    - an understanding of what mantra is and how it can be used to calm the mind, regulate the nervous system and access a higher source of wisdom within

    - simple practices to experience the profound impact of breath and sound using breath, mantra, chanting and japa.

    Just as asana (postures) helps to create flexibility in the body, mantra helps us to create flexibility of the mind.

    This is an introductory session and does not require any prior experience of mantra or chanting.

  • The Breath-Health Connection

    Is how you naturally breathe negatively affecting your physical, mental and emotional health and wellbeing? How do you know?

    The Breath-Health Connection is an introduction to the role of functional breathing and the importance of healthy breathing patterns to support all facets of health.

    In this 60-minute, in-person session, we will explore

    ·      What it means to breathe functionally and dysfunctionally

    ·      How to measure functionality

    ·      The science of breathing, according to the scientists and the yogis

    ·      The implications of dysfunctional breathing on health and longevity

    ·      Simple breath practices to improve functionality to support a healthy body and mind.

  • Breathe Yourself to Sleep

    A 60-minute in-person workshop to reclaim your rest through the power of functional breathing.

    Are you tired of tossing and turning? Do you wake up feeling groggy and unrested, even after a full night's sleep?

    What if the way you were breathing during the day was impacting how you breathe at night?

    During this session we will explore:

    - An overview of functional breathing

    - Breath-based techniques to reset and down-regulate your nervous system

    - Practical tools to support deeper, quieter sleep

    - Insights into how daytime breathing habits affect your nighttime breathing

    - Simple breath-led practices to soothe and prepare the body and mind for restful sleep

    Whether you struggle with sleep disorder breathing (snoring, sleep apnea) racing thoughts, or shallow sleep (insomnia), or you just want to feel more refreshed in the morning, this workshop offers science-based research, ancient practices and simple suggestions that can make a real difference in the overall quality of your sleep and ultimately your health.
